As I wrote on Stack Overflow: "How to build a very basic Guard example?" I stumbled around for a while looking for an example of how to write my own guard.

Would you all be open to linking to

From the README? I think that would help people like me trying to learn.

Good point. I added a link to the wiki and some example topics of what can be found there to the introduction section.
