Hello,

We're writing in reference to your Stack Overflow account:

https://stackoverflow.com/users/2801559/guest271314, we were rather close to suspending your profile again after the multi-year suspension you just came out of. However, we decided to give you one last chance to become a productive member of this community.

Regrettably, it looks like we lost that bet, given that you are back bickering about downvotes, close votes and making inflammatory remarks about "politics", both on the main site and in Meta, with a good dose of expletives to get your point across:

You can cast as many "down" votes as you want. That's not going the change the technical fact we can fetch() file: protocol in the browser. And otherwise use a variety of means to get local files in the browser on arbitrary Web pages; both within and outside the scope of specifications. If you are really concerned about "security" I suggest turning off your Internet access, turning off your machine, going to the local library to read a book, then placing the book back on the shelf. Surely you are not rolling around with a "smart phone" in your pocket if you are conerned with "security"...

Now why the hell would somebody in JavaScript world cast a "downvote" for this question? Not that I give a damn about up or down votes, I'm just curious about your rationale.

"Fair enough, but it is an off-topic question for SO." Then you folks will politic, vote to close, and never get to the code. That's who you are then; focused on politics rather than code. Not atypical on JavaScript boards. So be it. I did what I could to implement a common STDIO for all of JavaScript, and asked here what if anything can be improved?

And in Meta:

@ DanMašek Think about it. SE Web sites have a voting system. That's completely social. We can remove all "up" and "down" votes entirely from all SE Web sites and the questions and answers stand on their own. Who cares what somebody else "voted"? Nobody on these boards speaks for me, so why the hell would I care about how they interpreted a question or answer and enagaged in the social practice of voting? Hundreds of "down" votes don't mean squat over here https://meta.stackexchange.com/questions/398127/. I'm literate; I can read questions and answers for myself and make my own conclusions.

What part of I don't entertain "faith" at all do you not understand? I deal with facts. I asked you folks what your current position is on this topic. No answer and closure citing a previous question and answer makes the previous answer the default. That's it. Facts.

Meta heads are on Meta, politicking, so I don't buy that. Just making sure the finnicky folks on here don't invent some reason to claim my question is off-topic. As I suspected, can't get a straight answer here, so the linked Meta question and answer must still be controlling. Thanks.

We understand that some folks may find it frustrating to collaborate on Stack Overflow due to a divergence of opinions about how the site should be run. However, as long as you wish to participate here, you must keep a respectful attitude towards all other users.
