Thanks for posting your blacklist fix on the B.M.D DR forum. Out of curiosity which GPU are you running and which "amdgpu Pro" opencl stack: legacy or pal? For the R9 390x 8GB I can confirm that ubuntu 20.04 default xorg & mesa, your patch and opencl=legacy is working for DR16.2.7.

ROCm recently got RDNA2 Big Navi supported and seems to perform great according to Phoronix will this be a future option?

Hey, sorry for late reply, I didn't notice it. I run regular old Fedora 33 mesa (20.2.3) on Wayland and a gfx1010 device (5700XT). It's a 20.40 version of AMDGPU, and it's running on PAL stack.

I personally am not so sure about ROCm, it seems to work for a bit, but then quickly locks up/crashes. Hopefully Big Navi works better.

Thanks for letting know and interesting to see you are also running wayland like didier.villevalois.

Just for reference, it seems that phoronix forum user "santoniuk" has rocm opencl working with 5700 and D.R using a "OCL_ICD_FILENAMES prefix refering /etc/OpenCL/vendors pointing to /opt/some_rocm_install/opencl/lib/libamdocl64.so".
