Intermittent non-responsive devices

At rare intervals, a device becomes non-responsive—no events are triggered anymore—without any error being thrown.

I suspect the device is somehow being refreshed, and that I simply need to poll get_xid_devices at occasional intervals during the experiment. If this is the case, than 2975ce2 should fix the problem. We'll see how it goes...

This still occasionally happens. I am concerned this is an issue with the underlying implementation in python. It is such a rare event however that it has been hard to track down.
