When using hashcats output in machine readable format it cannot be determined if real progress was made or if the progress just increases because combinations were rejected. This for example happens a lot if someone uses a (in this case bad) wordlist on a WPA and it rejects a lot of the combinations because they are below length 8.

Can you please add something like REJECTED x y or REJECTED x to the output, so it's possible to see how many "real" combinations were tested.
