Hashcat still not working on Blockchain Wallets created from 2011 to February 2012. #3718
Comments
Please don't open repeated duplicate issues like this. You can post to the existing closed issues or reopen if you think there is still a problem. Your other example wallet was indeed a blockchain.info wallet and it cracked just fine in both btcrecover(as you had stated) but also in hashcat when extracted correctly. This new test wallet does NOT appear to be a valid blockchain.info wallet as it is not recognized by btcrecover and does not appear to be the right format to be cracked by hashcat or extracted by blockchain2john.py. |
The btcrecover issue was solved and posted here: I think the entropy was changed to 6.9. |
The linked issue does not appear to show a solution, just someone with a potentially similar issue. |
I tried it it worked. I change the the entropy to 6.9. The btcrecover work. btcrecover/btcrecover/btcrpass.py Line 1817 in 4016a9c if entropy_bits < 7.2: |
I'm willing to sponsor this. |
Bumping this because blockchain v1 do not work in hashcat, btcrecover finds the pass but hashcat does not. |
