What are your thoughts on merging the lux formula into homebrew-core?

I think it is a good idea. But when I tried last year I got the answer:

"GitHub repository not notable enough (<30 forks, <30 watchers and <75 stars)"

and a followup answer:

"Hi hawk this is a nice software, but not notable enough for us to package in Homebrew for now. This is not a decision on the merits of the software, but we cannot distribute every single piece of software and have to draw a line on “notability” somewhere. Of course, we would be happy to reconsider in the future."

Maybe the future is here? Do you have any suggestions of how to proceed?

Looks like you meet two of those criteria. My guess is that they mean "if you meet any one of those criteria, you're good", but I'm not sure. I started a discussion thread to double check before the work is done.
