OMXPlayer Boost Volume

Love this plugin as it replaced my last needs for Script2 , which was used with omxplayer as well. However, one thing that I would love to move over is the ability to boost the volume.

This is the command i was running to have the sound louder:
omxplayer --vol 1000 /home/pi/Music/quest.mp3

I believe the current 100% (brightness) volume would transfer to this command:
omxplayer --vol 1 /home/pi/Music/quest.mp3

I have a really bad stereo (no volume buttons) because i wanted to save realestate in my drawer where I have my pi... so this would be the only way to make the sound louder for me. Anyways, edge case so I don't think it's a must-have, but a parameter labeled something like "boost" which would make the range go up to 1000 would be really great feature to have.
