I have two Drupal sites with the same Drupal module version, the same shariff libraries, the same entity definitions (as far as I can see). Images are included in the Drupal nodes exactly the same way. But images are included in FB posts of one of them, and not on the other.

I am lost where to look for the difference which obviously must exist.

Found the difference: Different theme applied. Will have to look there.
