How do I add a README.md file into the root directory of the generated blog by HEXO? #786

There is a workaround.
Suppose you're using landscape, put the README.md file into themes/landscape/source.

To make it work, you might need to hexo clean once.

Agree with @timnew .
All the files in themes/themes-name/source will be copied to your website root directory.
So, you can get the README.md in this way.

This solution does not work for .nojekyll file. Does it ignore files starting with a dot?
