https://www.python.org/doc/sunset-python-2/

http://pythoncountdown.com/

https://python-future.org/compatible_idioms.html

For migrating Python2 to 3, @staverne do you think that is better to keep XML Parser with C dependencies or use a Python library ?

We've some PR to migrate to pyhon3 in progress FYI.
Any help appreciated.

There's an incomplete and slow version of the parser developed in Python in the package's GIT history.
However i think the easier will be to keep C dependencies.
It will be complex to migrate to python, for poor performances.
