Adding support to the connector framework for this will alleviate some of the extra handling required to implement this functionality, which will likely be identical or similar across connector implementations.

  • Add connector framework API support for shutdown/restart
  • Add connector framework handlers (abstract methods, most likely) for shutdown/restart
