Practice mode really slows down gameplay if you quit in like 75% of speed

i was practicing a song and then when i felt ready, i quit practice mode on 75% of speed and then i started to play a song on quick play, the game went really slow, the only fix is to head back to practice mode and then quit on 100% speed.
