Discount Markdown, includes very nice image sizes. http://www.pell.portland.or.us/~orc/Code/discount/ and such contribute to HTML validation. Please look at the link for the example. I need to use hoedown because there is Guile extension to it: https://github.com/greghull/sundown-guile

Image sizes in HTML are required. This can be easy option to implement.

It would be nice to support pandocʻs image attributes, like {#id .class width=30 height=20px}.

This is affecting our use of MacDown which employs hoedown for its rendering.
We have hundreds of Markdown documents using the =[n]x[n] syntax and currently the parser just ignores them.
