Should gallery example links include anchors?

Right now, our gallery examples are all linked with anchor text like:

http://holoviews.org/gallery/demos/bokeh/box_draw_roi_editor.html#bokeh-gallery-box-draw-roi-editor

The links work, but it makes the URLs ugly, and it's annoying to send them to other people (I always end up cutting off the anchor text manually). I'm not sure whether this is an nbsite issue or a sphinx one, but presumably somewhere in there...

A counterpoint is that if we support multiple thumbnails as I desperately hope we will (see
holoviz/holoviews#1661), the anchor text might start to make sense -- each separate thumbnail could then link to the corresponding example on a page. So supporting multiple thumbnails would be another way to close this issue.
