Was playing around with this today. Noticed that all app related properties are None when the Rdio app is running on the chromecast.

Any idea what's up?

Google changed the API after the initial release and PyChromecast does currently not work with the new version of the API. I looked into supporting the new API but it seems like Google made it private. I currently have no plans to reverse engineer it and add support.

This bug is fixed by the upgrade of PyChromecast to using the new API. See commit e7e41c0. This has not been published to pip yet because Python 3 support is still broken (waiting for Google to release a new version of protobuf).
