I would like to say it is not a bug or a showstopper, but not sure where else to report it.

Make sure you are running the latest version of Home Assistant before reporting an issue.

You should only file an issue if you found a bug. Feature and enhancement requests should go in the Feature Requests section of our community forum:

Home Assistant release (hass --version):
0.59.0

Python release (python3 --version):
Python 3.5.2

Component/platform:
Ecobee Weather

Description of problem:
It is great that the Ecobee component is now pulling forecast information but the way the information is presented is not very useful. I really can't tell what is what, It would be good to show some dates and icons for the forecast, instead of creating 6 cards, and the information is exactly same. See the attached picture for more details.

Expected:
I would rather see one card that displays whole week forecast with icons (sunny, windy, rain, snow...etc) and temperature and humidity numbers.

Problem-relevant configuration.yaml entries and steps to reproduce:

Traceback (if applicable):

I have only one weather entity created per Ecobee.

I tried to put inside a group, but still have the same issue.

I already had an Ecobee thermostat and the Ecobee Weather became automatically enabled (cool!). The downside is it killed my entire Darksky set up. I'm not sure how to get it back!

@jevy Ecobee weather component is independent and should not affect Darksky. I have both running.

I have the same issue, but I have 3 cards and two of them appear to be the same.

I have issued a pull request to fix the units for wind_speed and visibility here:
#11136

But that doesn't really do much for the overall display. I don't think there is a way to do a typical forecast display on a weather component right now. I think it should be possible to fix the date display at least though. I'll look into it.

Something weird is happening here with the Ecobee component, and I noticed it repeatedly on my mozilla firefox browser. Attached is the screenshot... I see at least 200 entries there with the same information. As you can see in the screenshot, after zooming out to 30% view, the scroll bar on the right tells you how many entries it created. It does not happen on Chrome. Looks like there is some browser specific bug

You don't see the graphs in the above picture as I turned off recorder and logbook component for now as I am testing other stuff.

I just checked and I am also seeing multiple entities in Firefox. Interestingly, there are no duplicate entries in States. Even in the logbook, I see no duplicate entries. They are just rendered multiple times in FF.

I guess if you keep refreshing the screen or restart your HA, you will probably see more and more entries.. It takes more time to load or refresh the screen with this behavior. Yes, I also verified earlier, it only shows 4 days of forecast information in the states.

I too am seeing this. I have two ecobee thermostats and I get one forecast panel for each:

They don't provide any useful information to me and they take up more space than any other component. I would just like to have the option of disabling them. Is that possible?

There hasn't been any activity on this issue recently. Due to the high number of incoming GitHub notifications, we have to clean some of the old issues, as many of them have already been resolved with the latest updates.

Please make sure to update to the latest Home Assistant version and check if that solves the issue. Let us know if that works for you by adding a comment 👍
