The problem

I created an automation that pulls an audio files from media and plays it on a media device. Setting up the automation works. However, after a couple of hours, the automation loses connection with the media folder and won’t play the file. The folder is still accessible through the menu bar, however.

Define "the automation loses connection with the media folder". Is it the device you're playing on that suddenly stops playing? That more sounds like a device issue than automation
