The problem
Kwikset locks do not update their status when manually locked/unlocked. There was the same issue on the old Zwave integration. Post

Environment

  • Home Assistant Core release with the issue: 0.114.2
  • Last working Home Assistant Core release (if known):
  • Operating environment (OS/Container/Supervised/Core): HASS.io VM
  • Integration causing this issue: OZW Locks
  • Link to integration documentation on our website: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/ozw/

Please make an MQTT dump of the node in question and post the text file here.

Attached is the dump file. Do you want me to create a dump file while manually unlocking/locking the door?

An upstream device XML update fixes this issue.
Example of fixed XML:

I'm having the same problem on the 914 as well. I'll get a dump tonight.

There hasn't been any activity on this issue recently. Due to the high number of incoming GitHub notifications, we have to clean some of the old issues, as many of them have already been resolved with the latest updates.
Please make sure to update to the latest Home Assistant version and check if that solves the issue. Let us know if that works for you by adding a comment 👍
This issue has now been marked as stale and will be closed if no further activity occurs. Thank you for your contributions.

This is still an issue.

Again, this is an issue in openzwave, not Home Assistant. There have been multiple fixes to the lock XMLs to fix this. Refresh your node(s) and they should pull the latest XMLs.
