Philips Hue unstable in the 2012.12 release #62097
Comments
hue documentation |
Hey there @balloob, @marcelveldt, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration ( |
I can confirm the same. Whole day I am trying to identify where could be the problem, if it is my local network/wifi, Hue Bridge issue, HA integration issue. All ruled out as Hue Android App works perfectly well, immediate respone. With HA automations but also simple control of bulbs and Hue groups is not possible, occasionaly lights turn on/off with delays, sometims Lovelace buttons does not respond and do not reflect actual bulb state. Upgraded yesterday to 2012.12 Tried to reboot home router, hue bridge and HA host/supervisor but issue still presists. Hue bridge v2 with 25 devices / 233 entities. |
This will be fixed in 2021.12.3 see here for more details: Thanks! |
I am finding the same issues with core 12.2 - seemed okay in core 12.1 (but can't be certain). Experiencing the same issues with status being wrong - some stuck on off or on and also getting that delay. Was just coming back to post but thanks for the update Marcel! |
The problem
The hue integration has become unstable in the 2012.12 release.
I have been working with Hue for a long time prior to this without any issues.
Some lights or switches show a incorrect status (e.g. on, when off).
They correctly show i the Hue app.
When incorrectly showing on, if I attempt to switch a light off from HA, after a second or so, the status in HA flips back to the incorrect on state. The device itself exhibits no change.
The only thing that seems to work is reboot HA.
This then breaks after a few hours of successful working.

I am running a Hue version 2 hub.
HA is showing 23 connected devices.
Google assistant is connected directly to Hue and shows the correct status, and works.
Apple Home is also directly connected and works.
