Withings Missing Data #99398
Comments
Hey there @vangorra, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration ( Code owner commandsCode owners of
(message by CodeOwnersMention) withings documentation |
I'm considering putting some love in withings as it's an integration I use as well. But I only have one smart scale so I can't test everything. If you want to help out, please reach me on discord @joostlek. :) |
I see you've taken over this Integration - awesome. But I'm still not getting offered to be shown any of the information above, nor my duration of sleep (all of which is shown on their phone app). Any tips on how I can accomplish this, or am I missing something? |
In the 2023.10 I mostly worked on untangling the spaghetti and streamlining stuff. In the following month I will improve it even more and add more datapoints and sensors :) |
Looking into the code it seems that api.py and sensor.py only call measure.getmeas and sleep.getSummary. measure.getActivity and all the others described at https://developer.withings.com/api-reference would be nice. Unfortunately I won't have time to look into this in the foreseeable future, other device integrations I'm working on come first... |
Haha, I got quite some plans for the coming release for Withings, but I first want to iron some issues out to make sure everyone is up and running so I don't get tackled along the way |
Hey @joostlek, thanks for putting love into the Withings integration for HA. :) I'm using the Withings Sleep Analyzer to track my sleep data and in particular, to track the sensor "Withings in_bed". This was my main purchase factor as I was thinking of automations via HA when going to bed or getting up. But the sensor's status is always "unknown" (and all other sensors also are marked as "not available" - I read a lot about those problems. I created a developer account and linked it do HA. What am I doing wrong? Or is there a bug to fix? How can I support here? Thanks a lot, |
Create a new issue and I'll get back at you after I did my groceries. (Although knowing myself I'll probably multitask on the bike) |
Adding I would like more Data in my Sleep if that's possible |
What more data do you want about your sleep? |
There hasn't been any activity on this issue recently. Due to the high number of incoming GitHub notifications, we have to clean some of the old issues, as many of them have already been resolved with the latest updates. |
The problem
This was brought up in ticket #71210 but didn't appear to ever be addressed.
Like that previous poster, based on the API the following information should be available but is not:
step data
activity data
activity information (time in soft, moderate, intense, total active)
heart rate zone information (zone 0/light, zone 1/moderate, zone 2/intense, zone 3/maximal)
That Withings was supported by HA was a big factor in the purchase of my Steel HR Sport.

I tried removing the integration and re-adding it after I got the watch, but the same 34 data points are all that are offered.
