Describe the issue you are experiencing

In statistics graph card editor, entering a single errant character anywhere in the entities list cause the yaml editor to immediately reset the entire list. Makes it difficult to enter a list, modify the entity list, or add a name key.

Describe the behavior you expected

Show an error if the list is not valid, but don't obliterate the contents while user is trying to type.
