Add-on watchdog default is not documented

I have been looking into an add-on that keeps restarting when the Watchdog slider is enabled. I have noticed in the documentation that no default is defined for what the watchdog is checking if you do not provide a watchdog element in your config.json file. Please can this be detailed?
