If you make a selection in Opera, no alerts are raised in the test samples. No watermarks, no stoplight.

This appears to be related to Opera's implementation of selection.containsNode being broken, and not performing as it claims. It simply doesn't work.

Opera has, however, taken their support forums which describe the issue offline. Their bug database is also not publicly searchable. And it's closed-source.

I'm not going out of my way to break support for Opera, but I'm also not going out of my way personally to support it. If someone else submits a patch that's not too disruptive I'll accept it.
