Would be good to be able to track pageviews.

This isn't something that's natively supported in github pages.

Google analytics looks to be too heavy (and potentially expensive) - though Quarto documentation covers its use.

Some free alternatives exist.

Depending on solution, may need to provide cookie consent popup.
