Left-angles (opening tag) get filtered out of links

Yikes! This showed itself most obviously with a track named <3:

But you can also see it, for example, in the link text for album >Exile<:

The responsible code is still needed to filter out actual tags, but this custom text should be sanitized (i.e. turned into <3 or >Exile<) before ever reaching linkTemplate.
