Not sure when this started, but with release v2.3.3 GitHD in VSCode doesn't load unless blameView is enabled. Once it is loaded you can disable blameView again, but if you start VSCode and blameView isn't enabled, no GitHD commands show in the command palette and also the icon in the Activity bar is missing. I can observe the same behaviour on Mac and Linux.
