It would be ideal if Jitsi could save recordings by default to a location specified in Humhub Files (or directly in Files, if not otherwise specified).

This would better address privacy and security issues, ensuring all attendees could view the file, and ensuring compliance with data principles and security.

before saving a video you would need the consent of all participants without any exceptions - or the user who is calling jets-eet has to get notified first and AGREED that the video sessions get always recorded ( an option I would choose) if people don't want that they get recorded they can simply stay out of it. No need to have them in the room.

In General in HumHub it would be important to have a licensing page available where people can choose a licensing option. That is not only for jitsi-meet relevant.

When creating content of any kind people would have the chance to choose their license and if they don't choose one a default one will get set - the one they agreed on when signing up. If that is in place and available jitsi-meet can start recordings automatically after a notification and a way to agree or not to succeed to the room is available. The video than can be recorded legally as the participant has agreed to it. It would be advised to have a retention period mentioned so that people know the video will be available until deleted (what could be years) or until a certain period of time. If there is a way to see and also a way to download that video it also would need to get mentioned if people who downloaded it have to delete that video too after that defined period of time or not. Privacy is to in EU - especially in Germany - so before recording people automatically (what I prefer too) than better check that all agreed on it and keep those out who don't agreed.

As there might be also times when you won't like to get recorded yourself i.e. by a private talk via jitsi - an option to choose between having a video automatically recorded or not would be advised - which means a way to switch off that automatic recording would be needed too.
