Case 1: Template type Custom page
When you open such a page you can open a dropdown menu like this:
image

Case 2 Snippet
there is also a dropdown menu but with less items
image
And when you click on "Edit" you are driven to the configuration form where you can only use the 'inline editor'. You cannot edit elements

This is sufficient for a simple snippet, but (and this my case) if your snippet is heavily styled it may occur that you cannot acces all elements, and in any case you cannot access hidden elements (used as attributes, url, javascript variables,....)
Please would you let me know if this is a bug, or if it is the normal behaviour, so that I will write a module instead of using custom pages for the snippet I need.
Thank you in advance

Unfortunately, it is currently rather normal behavior that some elements cannot be edited correctly in more complex templates.

However, it is planned to improve this.

Thank you for this answer.
So, I will go for a module.

it is planned to improve this.*

Please, what do you have in mind about the delivery time of this improvement (some weeks? some months? next year?)
