Option: Show only real site albums?

Currently the "side albums" tab shows all albums regardless where created. would it be possible to add an option to have it show only the albums that were created by an admin on the general site and not those in groups?

Alternatively a sort of "feature" option where admins can decided which albums to show on the main album page and to non logged in visitors would be also great.
