It looks like the RockPro64's GPU is too slow for Hyprland.

OS: Void Linux ARM64
Kernel version: 6.1.12_1 (Void Distro Kernel)
Device: RockPro64
CPU: RockChip RK3399
GPU: Mali-T860

Steps to reproduce: start Hyprland, I use this command: dbus-run-session Hyprland
Expected outcome: Hyprland is working smoothly, windows are getting displayed correctly
Noted outcome: Hyprland only displays few windows correctly (like Thunderbird and Pavucontrol) Firefox doesn't get displayed correctly: an empty window (with a visible border) for example.

notes:
Hyprland works all fine and smooth on my SolidRun HoneyComb LX2K desktop with an AMD Radeon RX580 XFX.
(ARM64 CPU aswell)

hyprland.log: hyprland.log
hyprland.conf: hyprland-conf.log

Thanks in advance!

does sway work?

Yes, sway itself works, but i have same issue with alacritty not opening. I think for that I need to turn alacritty's GPU-acceleration.
Also, I am able to launch st in both Hyprland and sway but in Hyprland the shell doesn't start but does in sway.

Update: I got Freetube to work and doing a benchmark with a high-resolution video works fine.

I think it's your weird configuration that is failing here, hyprland is not aiming to be a thing on a pine phone.

Fixed! https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/4178

I compiled the newest mesa version and Hyprland now has 3D acceleration.
I also optimized the hyprland.conf for performance: I disabled blurring.
