Currently ELUTs, energy bin files and the associated index files are distributed as part of the software release process. This means that anyone wanting to analyse the latest data needs to update their full SSW STIX distribution. There can also be a delay between the on board parametrisation and the software release.

One possibility would be for the software to check on line if any new tables have been produced and download those rather than doing a full software update.
