I'm thinking just some play grounding for a short period. maybe 1hour,

And cover:

  • Generics
  • Protocols
  • Swift Standard Library
  • Passing functions, and closures
  • map, flatMap, filter, reduce, foreach

Maybe plan to do this on October 2.

That would be great! Especially going over those with swift 3! I'm still bombed out that I missed out on swift 3 meetup.

i would like to see how to use protocol oriented programming from A-Z in a real world network and persistent storage example. I've seen tons of little snippets that make it sound magical, but from what I've seen once you go beyond a point and actually try to implement in a complex project not to mention apple's UIKit framework, it becomes, shall we say, less magical. I'm totally hoping I'm just ignorant and havent figured it out, so lets take a look!

oh also for work I will be starting on a project in rxswift so that could be interesting; maybe a separate day? When are you planning this advanced swift? on a Sunday? or another day/ time?
