Split off from gcc bug 704:
https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=704
The output I posted in that thread was from your Snow Leopard binary release of gcc 5 with this version of cctools included.

OK. I have fixed this (in the sources) already [1-1-0], I guess it's probably about time to do another binary (but will update the cctools and ld64 firsts).

Time is the commodity in extremely short supply - the plan is to produce a new bootstrap toolchain based on gcc-10.4-darwin-r0 (but I have a few more small adjustments to make to that for release)

For 10.5..10.8 this will also include a revised xtools set that fixes a number of linker and assembler bugs. For later OS versions, the pressure is not so great (although I am hoping to be able to shift to DWARF-4 debug, so 10.8 .. 10.10 could do with some TLC there too).

Plans ... but when I will have cycles to address them .. I am not sure.
