Vim 8+ version?

It looks like this is a plugin that works on neovim only.
What blocks this extension from working in Vim 8+ and is getting it working on the roadmap?

I don't use vim so I don't have the time to support vim's popup window api. PR is welcome. Or you should have a look at https://github.com/kizza/actionmenu.nvim, seems it can works on both vim and neovim.
