System

  • Amethyst version: 0.12.0
  • macOS version: 10.13.4 (17E202)

What's the problem?

Automatic tiling is getting intermittent. Must relaunch repeatedly. Fairly new issue.

What applications are involved?

Mail (often) but other apps as well.

Has anything fixed it, even temporarily?

Not really. Tried reset to factory defaults. But how to do that? I tried uninstalling (using appcleaner) and reinstalling and that did not reset to defaults.

I've been having this problem on two separate computers as well. In my case, i have 4 monitors in windows often end up sized to fit a monitor that it isn't on. Sometimes it's also as if that windows don't get moved all the way to where they need to go, or the width gets corrected but not the height. Often times, switching back and forth between applications a few times resolves the problem, sometimes not.

I'm also seeing this issue. I've noticed that it's very reliable at detecting window open, but closing a window sometimes fails to trigger relayout. Also, relayout on space change is unreliable.

I find myself restarting Amethyst fairly frequently (a few times an hour). 0.14.1b (73) on Mojave.
