CS 428 Project 1 Repository

To download this files for this project, click the green Code button and click on Download ZIP. These files also contain the cubes that will be used in displaying the knickknacks. The cubes need to be printed, cut, and assembled before running the project.

To run this project, you will need to download and install Unity version 2021.3.6f1 and Vuforia version 10.9 (10.9.3 at the moment).

The following is a step-by-step instruction on how to setup and install Unity: - First, go to the Unity website https://unity.com/ and click the Get Started button at the top. - Click on the Individual Tab, then click on another Get Started button. - Download Unity Hub for your preferred platform (Windows, Mac, or Linux) - Install Unity Hub and then click on the Installs in the left pane. - Click on the Install Editor, then click the Long-Term Support to visit the download archive. - Choose the LTS Release version 2021.3.6f1 and then click Unity Hub to let Unity Hub install that version.

The following is a step-by-step instruction on how to setup Vuforia on Unity Hub: - Register for a free account at Vuforia https://developer.vuforia.com/ - Open the project files in Unity Hub using the Open button on the upper right. - Once the project is open, download Vuforia on https://developer.vuforia.com/downloads/sdk and choose the version 10.9. - Click 'Add Vuforia Engine to a Unity Project or upgrade to the latest version' - Add the Vuforia Engine version 10.9 to the current Unity project by following the instructions at https://library.vuforia.com/getting-started/getting-started-vuforia-engine-unity - Click Import and give it permission to update.

The following is a step-by-step instruction on how to build and run the project files using Unity Hub and Vuforia: - In the Unity Scene Hierarchy, delete the Main Camera. - Click on GameObject at the top, click on Vuforia Engine and pick an AR Camera to add to the scene. - Click on the AR Camera on the left, click on Open Vuforia Engine Configuration. - Copy and paste the app licesce key from the Vuforia Developer website into the App License Key section - Press the Play button at the top and show the cubes to the top of the camera and see the knickknacs!
