What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the text of the pdf-file is very blurry compared to how adobe reader, the
browser or other apps display text.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
android 2.1 on droid/milestone

here is the comparison between adobe reader and vudroid.
it's the same file zoomed out to see the whole page.
that blurring occurs on any zoom-level, which makes reading a bigger file a
very tiring task.

thanks for your awesome work on this reader, except the blurry edges and the
missing multitouch it's awesome :)

It's a little blurry on Nexus One also. Not very, but enough to annoy and cause
inconfort and headache if you try to keep reading for more than a few minutes.

Also, a strange thing that happens sometimes is that on the same screen, you
can have different "levels" of blurry, for ex., on a book page where text font,
size and formatting is homogeneous, it can get more blurry on the right side of
the screen.

Version 1.2
Android 2.2.1
HTC/Google Nexus One phone, screen size 480x800 px.

I have changed bitmap filtering. Please check is that issue is reproduced on
your device with 1.3 VuDroid version. I think it should be fixed.

this issue is now fixed, thanks!

can it be that the new version also caches a lot less/worse than the old
version?
now i have lots of grey rectangles that slowly get reloaded when i scroll
around (even when there is just one page in the document).
sorry if this is supposed to be a new bug, i'm just not sure whether it's
related to this bugfix.

Yes, the blurry looks like fixed on N1 too. Thanks.

But, as burian.da pointed out, there is no pre-render now, every time you
scroll the document, in any direction, it renders on demand, causing lots of
visible and a little bit slow gray boxes. Before, I used to see this rendering
only when I scrolled by great amounts and when scrolling fast. Now, scrolling
very slowly and only bits it gets the annoying rendering gray boxes..
