DC link capacitors have a higher current delivery requirement than output capacitors, which by design are targeted to about 5% of the output power. Also, DC link capacitors do not experience polarity reversals like output filter capacitors, which can be a consideration for some capacitor architectures. Also, the voltage requirements are different.
