Would it be possible for the app to default to hiding the notch? Currently it is necessary to manually reselect the option after restart. Great app, BTW! Works better than other alternatives.

Hello @AClownfa thanks you for your feedback!
Currently there is no feature to do this. I will attempt to add this feature in the following weeks. It shouldn't be that hard.
