Hey iJosh,
I'm not sure if you're interested. But I wanted to make this a little more accessible. So I turned it into an iOS Framework and then added a Playground that uses the framework to easily convert an image into ASCII art in the playground.
I had to change a fair amount of stuff, so I'm not sure if you want to accept the pull request, but I thought I would at least offer it.
