Loading data through Ajax

i'd like to load data on demand using ajax, unfortunately it doesn't work as expected.
there should somekind of .rebind() function .. i already tried .unbind().nestedSortable() but has no effect .. any ideas?

I've solved that using a placeholder, and hooked an event up to the "expand/collapse" button. :)
I can send you a small pseudo example if you want when i get home?
