tensorchord/pgvecto-rs:pg14-v0.2.0 keeps restarting

The bug

The container tensorchord/pgvecto-rs:pg14-v0.2.0 keeps restarting due to the following error. I have followed the steps from the official immich documentation and run through all of those steps under the root user. The output of docker logs from the container is the following:

Data page checksums are enabled.

initdb: error: could not access directory "/var/lib/postgresql/data": Permission denied
chmod: changing permissions of '/var/lib/postgresql/data': Operation not permitted
The files belonging to this database system will be owned by user "postgres".
This user must also own the server process.

The database cluster will be initialized with locale "en_US.utf8".
The default database encoding has accordingly been set to "UTF8".
The default text search configuration will be set to "english".

1. Followed the instructions: https://immich.app/docs/install/docker-compose/
2. Changed password and timezone in .env file
3. docker compose up -d
4. Can't access immich in the web interface

I have now created the docker compose file directly on the local filesystem instead of a mounted folder and now it works. The path of the library is still set on the remote mount.
