Things to automate:

version string in src/impress.js that ends up in js/impress.js
version string in package.json
tag the release

Open question:

Can I automate the "Releases" page thing in github, or that needs to be done from UI?

Today I saw, you are not Using Travis, but CircleCI and found this Gist:
