I think it does already.
This module doesn't have any limitation for video file format, but browser does.
So, it always depend on which browser you use.
On chrome, MOV file is supported.

UPDATE: I just checked with a tiny MOV file on chrome and I get CRITICAL ERROR... and with MP4 it works immediately.

How can I change this issue as a BUG?

Hmm, interesting.
I also tried this MOV File on https://imshaikot.github.io/video-thumb-generator
And it worked for me.

Could it be something with the video you are trying ?
