See https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/add-annotations-tab-on-profile-page/24964

  • On the profile page, below Identifications, add a new stat for Annotations. The stat should show how many annoations the account has added, not how many they have voted on but not added.

  • When that box is clicked on, it should take you to an Explore page that shows you all observations to which that user has added at least one annotation.

  • Show an Annotation icon, which currently doesn't exist. @abhasinat would you be able to design one?

Here's a design for this:
Annotations in Profile

If this design feels good, I'll send over the icon in Slack.

Cool, seems fine to me. It's a bit like a combo of lists and journal posts, but the folded corner gives it a pretty distinct silhouette.

I didn't realize that annotation.user_id isn't currently indexed by ES which makes this more complicated than I thought.
