Hi,

Nice project.

When I was looking at some of the files the links to the licenses were broken like: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/midpoly-tree-pack-002-bd2d63555fd04ae8a5c190ec00764682

In this case I can do a search & find this link, but has the asset been updated or changed?: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/midpoly-tree-pack-002-98150238cf9a4aa1bd0f36a481047b60

Then there's also the cg trader version: https://www.cgtrader.com/free-3d-models/exterior/landscape/midpoly-tree-pack-002

Having worked with 'free' assets in the past I think it's important that you have the license & credits (ideally name, email, & maybe date) independent & listed for each file. Artists may remove free assets & relicense or sell them to a company that does so over night. Or companies & lawyers may try to assume copyright over poor artists & unprotected developers works.

Having the credits or listed author name also has then benefits of being able to credit them in the project or look them up for more assets, removed/missing assets, or even possibly hire/commission them (or someone they recommend) for more work in the same style. Plus it may open things up to Artists who use a license that requires crediting.

Maybe just a screenshot of the website with license& author would help? Then that could double as a preview image that could even be used for a website at some point.

BTW, just letting you know that Sketchfab was just acquired by Epic Games. They typically have a license that assets are free to use, but only with Unreal Engine content. Also, phasing out Sketchfab's site entirely & incorporating it into the Epic store is another possibility.

Probably a good idea to get any assets while you can & screenshot the pages with licenses & authors.
