influxdb --version

Can you add a useful reported version when calling influxdb -v when compiled from git ?
Even having the git sha1 would help compared to this:

$influxdb -v
InfluxDB vdev (git: HEAD)

The problem is I don't use binary packages I compile the application from sources which is makes it really hard to know whether or not the correct version is installed and need to be updated when deploying :(
