could add a dialog with Ens. Ro instructing player to remain in the area to confirm splashdown, unfortunately I'm not sure how to check for this in case player ignores these instructions, and it could cause problems with switching to the aircraft due to KSP limits for switching to aircraft that are in atmosphere.

recommend leave as-is and instruct SR users via OP FAQ to wait for splashdown before moving out of physics range.
