I hope to net getting killed by web experts for this issue ;-)

Maybe we could add client side (= JavaScript) to periodically check if there are new updates and reload the page (or just add the new updates).

That’s a perfectly valid idea, ideally if would just incorporate the new statuses into the existing page. Could be done entirely unobtrusively.
